Puerto Rico Initiative

One of the most significant challenges our community faces is a severe workforce shortage. In fact, recent reports estimate nearly 4,000 unfilled jobs in our community. From manufacturing, healthcare, construction, technology, and service industries, it is increasingly difficult to fill jobs with capable, willing, and ready-to-grow employees – the very kinds of workers who will grow into tomorrow’s leaders.

In order to have strong leaders in our community tomorrow, we must have strong workers today. This is why CVLF is partnering with local businesses to recruit highly capable young people from Puerto Rico – a territory that is rich in talent, but short on opportunity. We are helping relocate dozens of resilient, ready-to-work young people and place them with employers who are dedicated not only to giving them jobs, but to investing in them as leaders.
